Manager claims Conor McGregor 'looking to stay active' after UFC return
Conor McGregor's manager Audie Attar signalled that the former UFC double champion intends to remain active following his return to competition this summer. McGregor (22–6) is scheduled to face Max Holloway (27–9) at welterweight in a UFC 329 main event on July 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas—his first fight since sustaining a leg fracture in a 2021 trilogy loss to Dustin Poirier. According to Attar, McGregor plans to fight again within a year of his comeback and will not wait an extended period between bouts. "He is definitely looking to stay active," Attar told MMAjunkie.com. "Next fight, we're not gonna wait a year, that's for sure. We'll see what happens from there." The comments suggest McGregor is eager to make up for lost time and build momentum through regular competition rather than spacing fights far apart, a typical strategy for fighters returning from significant injury layoffs.
