Khamzat Chimaev indicates he was robbed at UFC 328 in since-deleted tweet
Khamzat Chimaev disputed his UFC 328 result against Sean Strickland in a since-deleted social media post, suggesting nationality bias influenced the judges' decision. Chimaev (15–1) entered as a heavy favourite to retain his middleweight title in Newark, New Jersey earlier this month but appeared to gas early and dropped a closely contested split decision. "All judges are Americans, the organization is American, the opponent is American, and one is Chechen. It's a close fight. Who do you think will win?" Chimaev wrote before removing the tweet. He later added he was moving forward: "No excuses I just wanna f*ck him up." The loss marked a shocking upset for Strickland (30–7), who reclaimed the middleweight crown. Chimaev's camp is reportedly seeking a rematch, setting up a potential immediate return against the new champion.
