Dade County police officer stays perfect, earns UFC contract on DWCS

Luis Hernandez, a Dade County police officer, remained undefeated and secured a UFC contract on Week 6 of Dana White's Contender Series Season 10. Fighting at the middleweight level, Hernandez submitted Hugo Guillon via rear-naked choke at 1:01 of the second round on September 15 at Meta Apex in Las Vegas.

The bout opened with Hernandez aggressively closing distance and securing an early takedown. Guillon scrambled back to his feet and responded with a judo throw that put Hernandez on his back, keeping the pace high and competitive through the first round. The intensity escalated in the second frame, where Guillon attempted a submission of his own.
