PFL Africa sets Casablanca debut with six semifinal fights

The Professional Fighters League has announced its inaugural North African event, PFL Africa 3: 2026 Playoffs, taking place October 10 at Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, Morocco. The card will feature six semifinal bouts across three weight classes—bantamweight, welterweight, and lightweight—plus a heavyweight main event, with winners advancing to the PFL Africa Finals later in the year. The tournament prizes include $100,000 and a PFL Africa championship belt.

Senegal's Abdoulaye Kane (5-2), known for five straight stoppage victories including four knockouts, headlines the card against Morocco's Badr Medkouri (9-3), who has recorded eight knockouts across nine wins. The bantamweight co-main event pits unbeaten Algerian-Canadian Karim Henniene (7-0) against Nigeria's Raphael Uchegbu (11-2), a rematch of sorts after Henniene earned a first-round submission against Uchegbu at PFL Africa: Nigeria in June.

The remaining bantamweight semifinal matches Liberia's Dwight Joseph (16-3) against Angola's Boule Godogo (5-2). In the welterweight bracket, Angola's Shido Boris Esperanca (12-2) faces South Africa's Peace Nguphane (9-3), while Guinea-Bissau's Rivaldo Pereira (4-2) meets unbeaten Nigerian David Samuel (6-0). The lightweight division features an all-Nigerian semifinal between Patrick Ocheme (9-1) and Cornel Thompson (12-3), alongside a matchup between Senegal's Demba Seck (11-3) and Chad's Hussain Al Kurdi (3-0).

The card represents PFL's continued expansion across Africa, with fighters from nine African nations competing. "We're looking to go to all four corners of the continent," said PFL Africa general manager Elias Schulze.
