Former Versace model turned fighter returns at UFC Abu Dhabi

Islam Dulatov, a Chechen-born German fighter with a previous career modeling for high-fashion brands including Versace and Gucci, returns to UFC action after a year away. Dulatov (12-1) will face Wellington Turman (18-8) at UFC Fight Night 282 on July 25 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.

Dulatov earned his UFC contract by knockout on Dana White's Contender Series in 2024 and made an immediate impact with a first-round finish of Adam Fugitt in his promotional debut. Known as "The Ripper," he has compiled an impressive 12-fight winning streak since his 2019 debut loss, finishing 11 of those victories in the opening round.

Turman, 29, carries a 3-6 record inside the UFC since debuting in 2019. The Brazilian is currently riding a three-fight losing streak, putting his contract status in jeopardy as he looks to salvage his promotional tenure against the undefeated prospect from Germany.
