Manager: Conor McGregor fighting at White House didn’t make sense for UFC
Conor McGregor's manager Audie Attar explained that a White House appearance for McGregor's comeback did not align with the UFC's financial interests. McGregor had campaigned for a spot on the UFC's June 14 White House card, but instead returns at UFC 329 against Max Holloway (27–9) on July 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The White House event will have no general ticket sales, with roughly 4,300 attendees—primarily military personnel—on the South Lawn and 85,000 free spots available at nearby Ellipse Park. Attar noted the UFC would sacrifice significant ticket revenue at a White House venue compared to a ticketed arena event during International Fight Week. The decision prioritizes immediate commercial viability over the prestige of fighting at the nation's capital, reflecting broader promotional economics in major comeback fights.
