Aleksandar Rakic set for UFC heavyweight debut against longtime veteran
Aleksandar Rakic is making a significant weight-class change, moving from light heavyweight to heavyweight for his next UFC appearance. The Serbian fighter will face veteran Marcin Tybura at UFC Belgrade on August 1 at Belgrade Arena in Serbia. Rakic's transition comes after a difficult stretch in the light heavyweight division—he has lost his last four consecutive fights at 205 pounds, including a first-round TKO loss to Azamat Murzakan earlier this year. Moving to heavyweight represents an attempt to revitalize his UFC career after consecutive setbacks. The UFC Belgrade card will also feature a welterweight bout between Uros Medic and Daniel Rodriguez, as well as a middleweight matchup between Dusko Todorovic and Robert Valentin.
