Akbar Abdullaev earned a UFC contract with a stunning 19-second knockout at Dana White's Contender Series Week 6, becoming the first Kyrgyz fighter ever to sign with the promotion through DWCS.

The undefeated lightweight (14–0) faced Ednilson Barros Santos (14–8–1) and finished the fight with a vicious right hand that dropped his opponent nearly instantly. Abdullaev's perfect finishing record and explosive performance caught the eye of UFC CEO Dana White, who hailed him as possibly the greatest prospect in Contender Series history.

At 28 years old, Abdullaev has maintained a 100% finishing rate throughout his career. In his post-fight interview, he expressed relief and gratitude at achieving his longtime goal. "This was my place; I was ready for everything," Abdullaev said. "I dreamed of being here and I am here." The prospect emphasized that the path to the UFC mattered less than the destination itself—whether through DWCS, a direct contract, or any other avenue.
