Ex-Bellator champ returns in PFL Austin co-main event

Former Bellator bantamweight champion Sergio Pettis will look to rebound from a setback when he faces Lewis McGrillen-Evans in the co-main event of PFL Austin on July 18 at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.

Pettis's recent form has been mixed. He snapped a two-fight winning streak at PFL Chicago on April 11, suffering a unanimous-decision loss to undefeated newcomer Mitchell McKee. Before that loss, "The Phenom" had recorded consecutive victories over Magomed Magomedov and Raufeon Stotts. The PFL Austin main event will feature a middleweight title rematch between Costello van Steenis and Johnny Eblen, with Pettis's bout against McGrillen-Evans preceding the headliner.
