Makhachev earned a unanimous decision over Garry to successfully defend his welterweight title and solidify his position as the promotion's top pound-for-pound fighter. Despite the setback, Garry emphasized his mindset remained unshaken. "Tonight wasn't my night," Garry wrote. "I feel great, I did great, Islam was just better than me tonight and that's OK."
