UFC removes 4 fighters from roster, including 18-1 bantamweight

The UFC has released four fighters from its roster, including bantamweight Daniel Marcos, who compiled an impressive 18-1 record with one no-contest across his career. Marcos, whose overall UFC record stands at 5-1 with one no-contest, last competed in November with a rear-naked choke submission victory over Miles Johns. During his tenure, he also defeated ranked opponents Adrian Yanez, John Castañeda, and Davey Grant, suffering his only octagon loss via decision to Montel Jackson in May 2025. The other three released fighters are Lando Vannata (12-8-2), who has been with the UFC since 2016 and competed against top names including Tony Ferguson; Jamie Mullarkey; and Vince Morales. Vannata won only four of his fourteen octagon appearances despite delivering entertaining performances throughout his tenure. The roster cuts reflect typical UFC roster management as the promotion adjusts its fighter roster.
