Gregory Rodrigues survives wild Anthony Hernandez rally at UFC Sacramento

Gregory Rodrigues proved his championship mettle, surviving Anthony Hernandez's late rallies to claim a unanimous decision victory at UFC Sacramento. Rodrigues (20–6 UFC) controlled much of the contest with superior striking and leg kicks, while Hernandez (15–4, 1 NC UFC) kept pressing for takedowns but could not sustain offensive momentum.

In the opening round, Hernandez clinched repeatedly, unable to take Rodrigues down despite pinning him against the cage. Rodrigues answered with crisp combinations and an uppercut–elbow combo as the round wound down. The second round proved decisive: Rodrigues' leg kicks dropped Hernandez three times, leaving him visibly compromised. Despite Hernandez standing and trading, Rodrigues' kicks proved too damaging. The judges scored it 49–46, 48–47, 48–47 for Rodrigues, extending his winning streak to four and his UFC record to 11–3. Hernandez fell to 0–2 in 2026 after an eight-fight win streak, showing resilience despite the loss. The co-main event saw Vitor Petrino edge Serghei Spivac by unanimous decision (30–27 across the board) in a clinch-heavy heavyweight affair that drew boos. Light heavyweight Reinier de Ridder returned triumphantly to the division, finishing Roman Dolidze 4:01 into Round 1 via submission. Lightweight action went to MarQuel Mederos, who stopped Mason Jones 2:07 into Round 2 on a referee stoppage. Women's flyweight Carli Judice extended her streak to four, stopping the unbeaten Jeisla Chaves 1:39 into Round 1 via technical knockout.
