Daniel Marcos has signed with the Professional Fighters League following his unexpected release from the UFC. The 33-year-old Peruvian bantamweight confirmed the move on social media, thanking PFL for the opportunity and crediting his management for facilitating the deal.
Marcos compiled a solid 5-1 record with one no contest during his UFC tenure after earning a contract through Dana White's Contender Series in September 2022. His final octagon appearance came at UFC Fight Night 264 in November, when he secured a second-round submission victory over Miles Johns. During his time with the promotion, Marcos also defeated Saimon Oliveira, Davey Grant, John Castaneda, and Adrian Yanez.
