Two title fights official for UFC 330 in Philadelphia
UFC 330 will feature two title fights when the promotion visits Philadelphia on August 15 at Xfinity Mobile Arena, with the card streaming in its entirety on Paramount+.
Welterweight champion Islam Makhachev will make his first title defense at 170 pounds against Ireland's Ian Garry in the main event. Garry has won 10 of his last 11 UFC appearances, most recently posting consecutive victories over Carlos Prates and Belal Muhammad following a hard-fought decision loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov in December 2024.
In the co-main event, strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern will defend her title against Canadian Gillian Robertson. Dern claimed the 115-pound crown by outpointing Virna Jandiroba at UFC 320 last October after Weili Zhang vacated the belt to pursue title opportunities at 125 pounds. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist has won three straight UFC bouts and owns notable victories over Amanda Ribas, Lupita Godinez, Angela Hill, Tecia Pennington, and Jandiroba twice.
Robertson arrives on a five-bout winning streak, including a unanimous decision over Amanda Lemos at UFC Fight Night 269 on March 14. Her recent wins also feature victories against Marina Rodriguez, Luana Pinheiro, Michelle Waterson-Gomez, and Polyana Viana. Both title fights represent championship-level matchups that have been heavily rumored but received official UFC confirmation on Wednesday.
