Vince Morales reacts to UFC release
Bantamweight veteran Vince Morales was released from the UFC on Friday and acknowledged the decision made sense based on his recent record. The 35-year-old posted on social media expressing sadness over the cut but maintained confidence in his abilities and promised upcoming news. "Sad day, makes sense on paper. I still know how capable I am though. I'll have some news soon," Morales wrote. This marked the end of Morales' second UFC tenure. He initially debuted with the promotion in 2018, compiling a 3-5 record before being released in 2022. Morales subsequently earned redemption through five consecutive wins on the regional circuit, including four finishes, which earned him a return to the UFC. However, he went 0-4 in his second stint against tough prospects. Veteran fighters released after disappointing returns often pursue opportunities in other promotions or continue rebuilding on the regional circuit.
